1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using www.belongmaps.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. BelongMaps reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

BelongMaps is a real estate discovery platform that helps users find areas matching their lifestyle criteria through geographic filter overlays on an interactive map. The Service aggregates publicly available data from various sources to provide insights about locations including, but not limited to, crime statistics, school ratings, flood zones, proximity to amenities, and census economic figures such as median household income. It does not show the race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or other protected characteristics of the people who live in an area.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Subscription and Payment

BelongMaps offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and provide access to additional features. By subscribing to a premium plan, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fees
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the billing date
• Provide valid and current payment information

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.

5. Data Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, BelongMaps makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data displayed. The information provided is for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for making real estate decisions.

Important: Property prices shown are based on historical sale data from public records, not current listings. Crime statistics, school ratings, and other data points may have varying update frequencies. Always verify critical information with official sources before making decisions.

The Service is for general informational and discovery purposes. It is not legal, financial, insurance, engineering, environmental, or real estate advice, and using it does not create a professional-client relationship with BelongMaps. In particular:

• Hazard layers (flood, wildfire, tornado, ground movement) are derived by BelongMaps from government datasets, are not endorsed by those agencies, and are not a substitute for an official flood zone determination, an elevation certificate, a state-mandated natural hazard disclosure, a property inspection, or an insurer's own assessment.
• Crime and school data are area-level and historical, and depend on what agencies choose to report and when; some agencies under-report or report late.
• Map overlays and address lookups describe areas, not individual parcels or buildings, and the data behind them may be outdated or incomplete.
• Housing-cost and home-value figures are estimates drawn from public records. They are not appraisals, valuations, or current listings.
• Any report you generate from the Service, including a branded report given to someone else, carries these same limits.

Before acting on anything that matters to a purchase, lease, or insurance decision, verify it with the official source and a qualified professional. Our Disclosures page and the methodology page for each layer describe where the data comes from and its known limits.

6. Fair Housing and Use of Data About Places

The Service shows data about places and events, such as reported incidents, school results, and natural hazards. It does not describe, rate, or make predictions about the people who live in an area. You, including any real estate professional using the Service, are responsible for your own compliance with the federal Fair Housing Act and state and local fair housing laws in how you use and share this information.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, crawlers) without express written consent
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its data

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party data), is owned by BelongMaps and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

Third-party data displayed on the Service (such as Google Maps imagery, government data, etc.) remains the property of their respective owners and is subject to their terms of use.

Content you add to a generated report, such as your logo, report title, or custom text, remains yours, and you are responsible for it.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BELONGMAPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any errors or omissions in the data provided
• Real estate decisions made based on information from the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BelongMaps and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of California.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
